OCD Awareness Campaign

OCD awareness campaign.
Brief:
You are asked to prepare and develop an advertising campaign creating 3 final outcomes, for a client determined through your own research and investigation. You may choose to promote a product, brand or service through whichever advertising medium(s) you feel relevant and most effective in reaching your target audience.
Obsessive-Compulsive disorder is a mental health condition where a person experiences frequent, intrusive and obsessive thoughts which are then followed by repetitive compulsions, impulses or urges that need to be acted upon in order to get rid of the unwelcome thoughts. The most common misconception about OCD is that it's all about being a perfectionist and methodical in the way that you organise stuff and if something isn't in the place it should be, you can't carry on with your day until it's fixed. The truth is, OCD is so much more than just being meticulous. It's all about the terrible thoughts that enter your mind and continue to eat away at you until you perform a compulsion in order to clear yourself of the thought.

The stigma surrounding the disorder has never been greater due to how people trivialise and joke about the condition. Therefore my solution is to create three posters which all play on the misconception of what people believe OCD is along with the use of annoyingly out of place elements in order to draw people to the posters before educating them on what Obsessive-Compulsive disorder actually is.
Thank you for viewing.
Together we can fight the stigma and make it ok to talk about mental health.
